Here with the Ari Marcopoulos poster.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: verdana;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: medium;\">Ari Marcopoulos<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: verdana;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">The Chance is Higher<\/span> &#8211; Special edition book + poster print, 2008<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: verdana;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">I have been a bit idle lately, or at least as far as refilling the Buffet goes, but my week-long visit to New York city has paid off immensely with a couple of new items.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: verdana;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">The first of a few to come is the first book which has been published by <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dashwoodbooks.com\/\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: verdana;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">Dashwood Books<\/span><\/span><\/a><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: verdana;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\"> in NY.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: verdana;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">David Strettel, mastermind behind the Dashwood bookshop has now offered a beautiful book as his flagship publication in what is promising to be an interesting series.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tinyvices.com\/Ari_Marcopoulos\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: verdana;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">Ari Marcopoulos<\/span><\/span><\/a><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: verdana;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\"> is a well-known Dutch artist who has been using a Xerox machine for years to produce his large scale pieces. In trying to retain the punk aesthetic, this book is printed to look like it was made on a Xerox.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: verdana;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">The copy &nbsp;which I photographed here shows the special edition printed on red paper. The standard edition is printed on white paper in a conventional form.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: verdana;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">The extra treat with the special edition is that the dust jacket unfolds into a large poster of the cover image. &nbsp;See above.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: x-small;\">Inaugural publication by Dashwood Books designed by the Swiss team Gavillet and Rust. Vince Aletti writes \u201cno pretty pictures here, only gorgeously degraded ones.
